Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2023

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Solicitor General was Fire Investigator Stephane Dubuc, who brought home $477,649.18 in 2022.

Following Stephane Dubuc was Chief Coroner Dirk Huyer, with annual earnings of $456,719.75. Deputy Chief Forensic Pathologist Jayantha Herath made $447,666.16, Deputy Chief Forensic Pathologist Kristopher Cunningham made $444,342.25, and Chief Forensic Pathologist Michael Pollanen round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $443,125.06 for the Solicitor General 2023 Sunshine List.
